Well it is now past midnight and contractions are well under way. It is about 1:00am and its time to start pushing. This is the most amazing thing to witness, yet hardest at the same time. Seeing your mom push so hard through the pain shown me how strong your mom actually is and how she will do anything for you.
It is now about 4:00am and the pain is becoming unbearable for your mom, something is clearly wrong. We have to stop pushing and call the anesthesiologist in see what is going wrong. He states that the Epidural has fallen completely out!!! So in an unbelievable feat, he manages to reinsert the Epidural between the contractions. The pain instantly diminishes. The Doctor decides that your Mom should try to get some sleep for an hour and we’ll try to push again then. An hour later after a few more pushes the Doctor says that the baby’s head has turned and is stuck. The only solution is C-Section.
They wheel Mom into the ER, and they give me some scrubs to put on. About an hour later they come and get me so I can be in the room.
